National Polytechnic
University of Armenia
The only engineering university of the republic was founded in 1933 by the merger of the Construction and Chemical Technology Institutes. ASPH is the successor of K. Marx Polytechnic Institute (YerPI) and the State Engineering University of Armenia. The Polytechnic soon became a constant companion of the country's industry, growing at the pace of Armenia's industry, becoming the largest higher education institution in Armenia and one of the leading engineering schools in the Soviet Union. Today, the Polytechnic is one of the leaders of national higher technical education and enjoys a reputation not only in our country, but also outside its borders, and it has long been positioned as a major research center of technical sciences.
During the 90 years of its activity, the Polytechnic gave the country more than 130 thousand graduates, who formed the engineering potential of the Republic of Armenia, the scientific and technical community and the industrial leadership.
